The Spirit That Dances!
In the beginning was the Word;
the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
The earth was a formless wilderness, darkness covered the deep waters,
and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
In Him was life…
One day, Jesus stood in the temple and cried out:
“If anyone is thirsty, let them come to me;
and let whoever believes in me drink!”
There was a Samaritan woman who was searching for life,
who hoped to have a fruitful garden in her life—but she herself had withered.
None of the springs from which she drank revived her.
Although life had taken on dark hues and she had been rejected by the whole town,
there was still a thirst in her bones, like hope.
Hope in her Beloved, who would come and explain everything.
And on that day, when she came to the well, He came as well.
Jesus said to her:
“If only you had recognized the gift God has given you—[which is full of living water]—
and had asked for a drink [of life]… He would have given you living water.
For you will be thirsty again for that water [you came to draw].”
The woman said to Him:
“Lord, [you know my whole life; nothing is hidden from you]—give me that water…”
Jesus replied to her:
“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst again.
But the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

“… will become a spring of water welling up (Greek: ἅλλομαι (hallomai))…”

John chooses this word in the Gospel for a reason, to describe and define the work of God’s
Spirit. Rivers always have a beginning; they have springs or sources.
Your new, reborn life must have a source. God says, “I myself am the Source of living water”
(Jer. 2:13). “When you drink from me,” says the Lord, “a spring will well up within you,
nourished by God himself.” It will not be just a river or a stream—a place where there is
sometimes water and sometimes it runs dry. Jesus says that this water will gush forth like
a spring; it will flow, it will leap upward, it will dance, and it will give life to
you.
Immediately after last year’s conference, the Lord spoke, saying that He wants to fill His people even
more with His Holy Spirit. He wants to revive them and make them free and victorious. We
prayed and fasted, and the Lord once again brought this passage to mind and highlighted it.
John 4:14 “But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst again. Indeed, the water I
give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
She (the Samaritan woman) longed for life, and Life came to her. In the beginning was the Word;
All things were made through Him. In Him was life…

“Whoever believes in Me, let him come, let him thirst, let him drink—and what I give will become in him a spring
of water welling up (Greek: ἅλλομαι (hallomai)) into eternal life, beginning right now!”
