From my night into His day

"For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ"
(2 Corinthians 4:6)


Every morning we wake up, live our lives, and fall asleep in the evening. Each of us are in our daily routine, our routine of life. Sometimes we feel as if God does not exist, as if He is far away, and there are clouds above our heads and ringing in our ears, and through all that noise we cannot hear our Creator.
We believe in the God we read about Him in the Bible, we have no doubt that what is written is true, but He is not close, He is not close to me now...
When we experience certain things from the Lord, we feel His closeness, it is like a breath of fresh air in a polluted city environment, but the routine of life and unseen inner enemies defeat and enslave us. We pray and struggle, pray and struggle, and we break down, because the truth is that we are lost people who need the real Christ. In our routine shadows rise like fog and engulf us. The lies expressed in "our" thoughts are destructive and overwhelming. We hide in our shadows, bound by chains of shame and guilt, afraid to lift our eyes to Jesus. We reject Him, His word, His call and we lose.
The Lord says: "I see you! I see you sitting under a tree, I see you struggling, longing for me, but lacking the strength to climb up to Me on the mountain. That time is over. I am coming soon, into your night, into the shadow where you hide. Now the Day will begin—everything is changing. I speak the Word, and it sets you free. I am coming to show you who I am and what I have done for you to take away your shame and guilt. I want to drive the poles of my truth into your heart so that when adversity comes, you will have inner peace in your heart and your house, battered by stormy waves, will stand firm. I have come to you to be with you and talk with you, to build you up. Behold, I am coming into your life and if you accept me, I will free you from your shadow. The chains will be broken, and your eyes will see that guilt is nailed to the cross forever. You are my child, for whom I am doing all this. I want my Spirit to live in you and for us to be together."
Lord, the Day is coming, a new season, a new period. It is no longer night, it is day, when nothing will be hidden, my wounds will be bandaged and healed. On this Day I will see my enemies, and the Lord will give me victory over them, oil will flow over my head and I will see my Redeemer face to face.

I am the Lord who is with you. I am your Immanuel.
